City of San Marcos - Simmons Park Upgrade

The City of San Marcos is expanding the overall footprint of the playground at Simmons Park. The new playground includes the first zipline in San Marcos, a large climbing structure, and a standalone spinning structure.
As of today, all components are on-site and the contractor doing the installation is finalizing placement and footings before moving onto the above ground installation. The City expects this to be open within the next couple weeks. A rendering has been provided, as shown below of what the completed upgrades will look like.
The City of San Marcos Public Works Department would be happy to provide any information or answer any questions that you or the homeowners may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Public Works at publicworks@san-marcos.net.
