The City of San Marcos will be hosting a community information night on January 26, 2017 at 6PM at the San Marcos Civic Center located at 1 Civil Center Drive in the Valley of Discovery Room on the 1st floor. The purpose of the meeting is to answer questions regarding the new traffic light on Palomar Airport Road between Business Park and Acacia and the new Meadowlark development. The Meadowlark development will be 33 homes in the Laurels Canyon adjacent to Rancho Dorado. Please note this communication is purely a courtesy to keep residents informed of this proposed project which may impact the community. The Rancho Dorado Owners Association is not directly involved in any action as it relates to the above noted topics and is solely passing along information to the residents within the community. The Vista Planning Commission is meeting, November 16, 2016 to seek approval for the Vista Palomar Mixed Use Project, PC19-076. The Vista Palomar project proposes a four story 100 room hotel and almost 200 condominium units elevated hillside 17 acre parcel immediately adjacent to San Marcos Blvd. There are concerns over the impact the project may create for the City of San Marcos and the residents in the surrounding areas. The City of San Marcos Unified School District has expressed concern over the impact that this project may have on the already over populated schools.
The meeting will be held at the Vista Civic Center, located at 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, Ca at 6:00 PM. If you as a resident of Rancho Dorado, are concerned about the impacts of this project you may want to attend this public hearing. The City of Vista also has e-news if you are interested in being kept up to date on any future meetings and the proposal of the planning projects for this site, you may visit the City of Vista website at www.cityofvista.com. The Rancho Dorado Owners Association will hold their next regular scheduled meeting on November 7, 2016 at 6:30 PM at the offices of Avalon Management, located at 100 E.
